Summary Ferguson, D. K.: The contribution of micromorphology to the taxonomy and fossil record of the Myricaceae. – Taxon 47: 333‐335.1998. – ISSN 0040‐0262. The fossil record is based on leaf compressions, fruits and pollen grains. In the Tertiary the commonest genus was Myrica sensu stricto.
