Summary Generic names validly published in the Monthly review by Salisbury are identified, as are other overlooked names published by him elsewhere. Kunzea Rchb. (Myrtaceae) should be conserved against Tillospermum Salisb. Three of Salisbury's generic names in current use are antedated by others. It is pointed out that Homoglossum is antedated by Petamenes [Salisb. ex] J. W. Loud. (Iridaceae) and that Eurycles is a synonym of Proiphys Herb. (Amaryllidaceae), while Dipidax gives way to Onixotis Raf. (Liliaceae); the four necessary new combinations are made. Appended is a list of 64 overlooked names of tropical and subtropical plants of the Old World, though some names referable to South African Aloe and Erica spp. remain obscure.
