Summary Criteria are given for determination of stems of regularly declined nouns and adjectives in Greek or Latin based on knowledge of the nominative and genitive singular forms. Rules and examples are given for regular derivation of the compounding forms from the stems. Revisions are proposed for Article 73 and Recommendation 73G of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature. A section is included on simple composition of botanical names.
