Summary Some ideas about future problems of Botanical Gardens. — Botanical Gardens should lay out special “conservation departments” in order to prevent the extinction of plant species. This program of conservation needs international cooperation. Conditions for success are regional specialization, restriction of the number of species in each garden, and utmost care in cultivation.
