Kosjeric area settling happened during 18th and 19th century. Families that had moved there, brought with them certain needs and habits in: site selection, mode of agricultural production, position of the building on the plot and house shaping. The paper analyzes the influences immigrating families brought from former habitat, influences that shaped arrangement of village settling and how aforementioned impacts manifested on physical structure of hamlets and villages. Registered processes are useful for understanding current processes in the Serbian village. The paper is based on the documentation collected from 1994 to 2004.
