This paper analyzes the process of population ageing on the basis of the age and sex structure for the period 1991-2002. The used methods include the synthesis method, the generalization method, the analysis and demographic-statistic method. The Paper deals with the ageing process of Vojvodina population and relates it to the counties. The target is to point out to the process of ageing in the Vojvodina population between the two censuses. Observing the continuity in the trends related to the population of Vojvodina in the territorial units at the level of counties, the paper demonstrated the territorial distribution related to the age of the population
