The capitalist oblivion does not include only plain erasure of the part of the past but is a structure of the perception of the world which is reproduced and has a fetish chararacter (reification). The past is perceived through the prism of ware and profits. The forgotten crimes of com, the role of oblivion in globalisation, the nature of contemporary memory constitutionalism and memory laws in the EU are considered. Capitalism is justified through glorious democratic past. The forgetting of capitalism?s own violence is embedded in the capitalist memory culture. The anti-totalitarian discourse is the highest official ?constitution of memory? in EU from which the official memories of the EU members are derived. The Holocaust is a conceptual lever of capitalist forgetting. It is a selective summary concept and metaphor for the integrated memory of the crimes of fascism and communism. There is no Holocaust in the official memory of the crimes of capitalism. The institutionalized memory of Left crimes is dominant. In this paper the attention is drawn to the marginalized and weakened memory of the Left. Also, some arguments on the reasons why rotting working class as a torn group is incapable for organized and active memory are being suggested.
