Jorjo Tadic?s legacy contains an unpublished review of the Serbian Literary Cooperative edition of Osman prepared by Miroslav Pantic. In the review Tadic makes a positive assessment of Pantic?s edition of Osman. He pointed out the importance of extensive commentaries and numerous clarifications of archaic expressions that facilitated the understanding of this baroque epic. Tadic considered this edition to be a representative example of how the works of older literature should be printed. The review also addresses the relevance of Gundulic?s work and the political ideas developed in his works. In the same spirit in which he had written feuilletons in his youth, he demonstrated that Gundulic?s works often reflected the contemporary historical setting.
