The text sheds light on some details in the relation between Jovan Skerlic and Milan Rakic. As the editor of the ?Serbian Literary Messenger?, Skerlic asked Rakic to submit his poems for publication. The letters reveal how the ?Messenger? came into being and are of exceptional importance to our literary history.
