The specific similarity between the supplements to Osman rendered by Marin Zlataric and Pjerko Sorkocevic point to the existence of a common poetic plan. The joint concept could likely be the fruit of the cooperation between editor Dzanluka Volantic and the supplementers. The storyline initiated in the epic was organised by Zlataric into a plot which was to give a convincing reconstruction of the dispersed threads in Osman. However, he did not complete the supplement - it remained a sketch of the epic argument which he later intended to enrich with lyrical passages. Sorkocevic?s supplement is conceptually more diverse and artistically more mature, which has led most literary historians to an unreliable conclusion that it originated earlier, and that Zlataric composed his own looking up to his predecessor?s work.
