Teratomas are tumors derived from pluripotent germ cells, and they appear most frequently in ovaries. Strumal carcinoid belongs to the group of monodermal teratomas. Strumal carcinoid is characterized by the presence of carcinoid tumor, intermingled with thyroid tissue.
