It is shown that SP system parameters, previously used for the linearization of log k values in RP chromatography, can also be used in NP chromatography. Avery good linear correlation between SP parameter and the earlier described Snyder solvent strength parameter has been established. It was also found that the phase equilibrium constant K is independent of the polarity and concentration of the more polar component of binary solvent mixtures.
