The article deals with some essential features of Leskov's idiostyle, esp his manner of word semantics structuring directed at synchronistic realization of main and motivating seams in the context of their image-communicative interaction. Special attention is also paid to morphemes' role of play on words as an element of style and artistic perception of reality as well
