Tourism in Serbia, as economic activity, has a long tradition of existence and it is important for overall economic development. It is especially important for underdeveloped areas where it can represent basis for overall economic development, what is the objective of this study. This paper analyze and evaluate the material base of tourism, tourist traffic and the natural and anthropogenic tourist potentials of 26 underdeveloped municipalities, defined by The Regional Development Strategy 2007th year and by The Law of the underdeveloped areas of the 1995th year
