Danube-Morava axis and its centers, as the most important integrative element of the Serbia geo-space, has the significant role in the contemporary development processes. Characteristics of the centers, defined the stages of the towns development, as well as the expressed issues were the basis for defining goals of the development centers and their territorial organization. However, this development axis could produce uncoordination of the territorial organization with functional areas of the centers, especially on the local level
