During the general reaction to trauma, substantional changes in protein composition of sera occure. The aim of the prospective study was to investigate net change in total protein and albumin concentrations, as well as albumin/globulin ratio in sera of war casualties during the first 14 posttraumatic days, and to establish the correlation between these changes and severity of trauma. Subjects were 79 war casualties.
