This paper is a clinical report of a male patient, who had suffered a left temporal bone fracture. At the Emergency Service, the fracture reduction was performed, with the emporal muscle incision. After two months, the patient presented a deviation to the left side during mouth opening and function limitation. Computadorized tomography and magnetic resonance were perfomed to investigate a condyle fracture or internal dearrangement of the temporomandibular joint. Both revealed the integrity of the structures. So, the temporal muscle generated the problem as a result of wound healing. The patient was submitted to physiotherapy sessions and recovered the temporal muscle function.
