Exploration of the host plants of Dendrophthoe falcata on the Banaras Hindu University main campus

An observational study was conducted to explore the host plants of Dendrophthoe falcata in the Banaras Hindu University main campus, Varanasi, India. A total of 12 host plant species were recorded belonging to 12 genera and 9 families. Of the total reported host plants, one-third were member of family Myrtaceae. Mangifera indica was the most preferred host of Dendrophthoe falcata on the Banaras Hindu University main campus.
