The evidence of icon worship is found in the ancient oldest known civilization of Indus valley. In India, prayers in natures form of Surya in ten Suktas in Rig-Veda. Sculptures of Surya started in second century A.D. and developed significantly in Gupta Period. Skanda-Puran has mentioned about 68 Temples of Sun in different parts of country. On the basis of architecture Sun Icon found in different parts of the country. All Icons have special significance.
