It was the dream of the Father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi to establish Ram–Rajya in Independent India. Ram Rajya was not a new concept of Mahatama Gandhi. The concept of Ram–Rajya is very clear in Valmiki Ramayan of Maharishi Valmiki and Ram Charit Manas of Tulsidas ji. In this article the environmental aspect of Ram Rajya is described. The latest concept of Environmental Science and Forestry, for example “The Theory of Sustained Yield”, Road side plantations are described in Ram Charit Manas
