The individual and social life of modern humanity is not limited to the satisfaction of material needs. The era of consumerism, where Russia has been plunged since the beginning of market reforms, confirms this axiom, the enormous importance of spiritual ideals. This article is about values in general and in the field of combating crime, in particular, their national and international basis, certification criteria, mechanisms of reflection in criminal legislation and industry doctrine. The idea is especially argued and emphasized that values hold the dormitory together, and therefore are rooted primarily in the most conservative areas of public consciousness - religion, morality, as well as in the hard-won provisions of world jurisprudence.
