Abstract: In facing the challenges of an increasingly liberal era, many Islamic boarding schools form public schools by applying them together to give birth to generations who master the science of religion and knowledge in general. In its implementation, of course, it takes a figure who has reliable leadership in both fields. This research aims to describe and analyze (1) the leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid principals in the implementation of education in school; (2) the leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid Principal at the school policy retrieval process; (3) the typical leadership style of Senior High School Nurul Jadid principals. The approach of this research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection was done through structured interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results showed that 1) the leadership style of principals in organizing education which included inputs, processes, and outputs of schools in Nurul Jadid High School was using delegating leadership style, this leadership style was used because principals considered the maturity level of subordinates to be good and ready to carry out tasks. 2)While the policy retrieval process, the principal of Senior High School Nurul Jadid uses a democratic leadership style, because when making policies in schools there was still an element of coordination between superiors and subordinates, subordinates were still allowed to make decisions based on suggestions and criticism. Both of leadership styles that are jointly run by the principal have elements of the pesantren's distinctive leadership style, which are dedicated, serving leadership and a high sense of kinship by applying Nurul Jadid's rules and Islamic values, namely trilogy santri, and panca awareness santri.Keywords: Leadership Style, Delegative, Democratic, Islamic Boarding School Abstrak: Dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman yang semakin liberal banyak pondok pesantren yang membentuk sekolah umum dengan diterapkan secara bersama demi melahirkan generasi yang menguasai ilmu agama dan pengetahuan secara umum. Dalam pelaksanaannya tentunya dibutuhkan sosok yang memiliki kepemimpinan yang handaldikedua bidang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMA Nurul Jadid(1) dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah; (2) dalam proses pengambilan kebijakan di sekolah; (3) gaya kepemimpinan khas pesantren kepala sekolah SMA Nurul Jadid. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan dilakukan dengan cara wawancara terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi/simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang meliputi input, proses dan output sekolah di SMA Nurul Jadid menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan delegasi, gaya kepemimpinan ini digunakan karena kepala sekolah menganggap tingkat kematangan bawahan sudah bagus dan siap untuk melaksanakan tugas.2)  pada saat proses pengambilan kebijakan, kepala sekolah SMA Nurul Jadid menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, karena pada saat membuat kebijakan-kebijakan di sekolah masih ada unsur koordinasi antara atasan dan bawahan, bawahan masih diberi kesempatan untuk mengambil keputusan atas dasar saran dan kritik yang diberikan. 3) Gaya kepemimpinan yang bersama-sama dijalankan oleh kepala sekolah tersebut terdapat unsur gaya kepemimpinan khas pesantren yaitu kepemimpinan yang bersifat mengabdi, melayani dan rasa kekeluargaan yang tinggi dengan menerapkan nilai-nilai keislaman dan kepesantrenan Nurul Jadid yaitu trilogi santri dan panca kesadaran santri.Kata kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan, Delegasi, Demokratis, Pesantren
