The transdermal route has several advantages compared to the per-oral route, such as the limitations of the First Pass Effect (FPE). However, the development of Transdermal delivery systems is challenging because of the barrier provided by the skin. NSAIDs are medicines that have been used in chronic conditions and potentially causing severe gastrointestinal adverse effects. The combinations of nanoparticle and iontophoresis in transdermal delivery of NSAID will be beneficial for the future use.
