The paper reflects the adequacy of people, who became the chief executioners of the Third Reich. The author is committed to identify the “cause of the Nazi disease”. The International Military Tribunal has become a colossal world event heralding a new era of international cooperation. The scale of the crime was unprecedented. The multivolume documentary evidence of the Nazis’ crimes stirred up tremendous confusion among seasoned lawyers. Since the legal proceedings of such magnitude were unprecedented in the world, many strategic and organizational problems had to be tackled. None of the defendants was eager with repentance. Inquired by the presiding judge, all Nazi leaders pleaded not guilty.
