The paper is focused on primary topics and issues discussed on the plenary and the affiliated sessions of the conference. In particular, they were related to connection and interaction of humanitarian and technical knowledge; opportunities, types and perspectives of their integration; significance of the humanities in a technical higher education institution. An efficient exchange of scientific data and exciting suggestions concerning state of Russian and foreign researches of technical and humanitarian knowledge interaction, development of scientific branches presented in the meeting, necessary focus on significance of the humanities in technical education. Opportunities and perspectives of interregional and international scientific educational cooperation were determined.
