One of the main motifs of any folk fairy tale are the stories of wise men. This theme is especially vividly manifested in the depiction of the confrontation of a hero with a perfect mind, who, being small (puny), easily overcomes a many times superior enemy. In fairy tales about animals, the main bearer of wisdom is a hare, the main opponent of the hare is a wolf or lion. In everyday fairy tales the wisdom theme is employed in the stories about testing mind through the conflict between a khan and a servant, between brothers, between a step-mother and a step-daughter, etc. Most of the stories are built on the storylines of wise guessers, wise counselors. The author identifies four types of bearers of wisdom.
