Disaster preparedness has become more evident in our daily lives within the last decade. September 11, 2001 has put the fear of terrorism and even bioterrorism into our lives. We have become more cautious. Thanks to federal regulations and policies, and national media and other venues, we are not only more keenly aware of potential threats, we are also more prepared.
