Review of Conflicts of Interest and the Future of Medicine: The United States, France, and Japan

This book examines and contrasts the roots of medical conflicts‐of‐interest in three market economy countries (United States, France and Japan) and provides a wealth of useful background information. The author draws on currently complex and/or non‐regulated aspects of medical practice which can give rise to conflicts‐of‐interest and impact health‐care costs and patient health. Remedial and legislative actions are examined and proposed for each country.
