A method is proposed that allows to estimate the amplitude of external periodic forcing using a small spiking neural network consisting of oscillators with neuron-like dynamics. The method is based on the dependence of the number of spikes generated by the network on the amplitude of external forcing. The method efficiency is shown in a radio engineering experiment using the example of a network consisting of FitzHugh–Nagumo generators.
