The paper considers the concept of improving the linearity of the coordinate characteristic and the accuracy of the signal position detection of a position-sensing detector while expanding its field of view. The diagonal-segmented topology of the sensor is analyzed taking into account the influence of inhomogenuity of the optical signal and of the spatial distribution of photosensitivity on its surface.
