The monodisperse carbon nanodots possessing photoluminescence in the visible spectral range were synthesized by the template method. An approach has been proposed that allows to control the spectral position of the emission band of the synthesized carbon nanodots using polyaromatic carbon-containing precursors with various multiple bonds conjugated systems
