Examples of research in the field of thermometry of living organisms carried out at the nstitute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North of the SB RAS in cooperation with the enter for the Study of Cold Injury at the Yakutsk Scientific Center are presented. The experience in measuring the temperature of extreme swimmers when swimming through the Bering Strait and the resulting data demonstrating extreme hypothermia in the swimmers' body during the swim are described. The results of experiments on the immersion of dogs in a state of deep hypothermia with continuous recording of body temperature and clinical parameters are presented.
