The possible crystal field parameters in the RPd_3S_4 compounds, where R = Ce, Pr, Nd, Dy, and Er, are discussed on the basis on the available experimental data on neutron scattering and field dependences of magnetic susceptibilities at various temperatures. The values of splittings of the lowest multiplets and wave functions of ground states are calculated.
