It was established the experimental metabolic syndrome development in males of Syrian Golden hamsters on the background of the hypercaloric diet for 5 weeks. Pathological changes of metabolic links manifested by insulin resistance, a decrease in the content of adiponectin, hypercortisolaemia, leptinresistance and imbalance of sex hormones. The administration of the investigated compounds — quercetin and epigallocatechin gallate largely correct these changes. Epigallocatechin gallate had more expressive effect than quercetin.
