n the experiment on the offspring of females Wistar rats stressed in the first trimester — puberty females which were born with reduced weight and low levels of leptin, was studied the development of obesity, eating behaviour, and leptin level after excessive consumption of fructose. By the injection of exogenous leptin and determination in these conditions the daily amount of food was found that fructose charge increases signs of leptin resistance inherent to offspring of gestational stressed mothers. It was concluded that strict controls needed to limit the amount of fructose, which may enter to the body of offspring from a risk group to prevent the development of obesity in their young.
