
DIFFERENCE IN BODY WEIGHT OF PERSONS WITH ENDOCRINE PATHOLOGY — PATIENTS OF ADVISORY POLYCLINIC INSTITUTIONS

According to the results of measurement of height, weight and body mass index counting 730residents of a large industrial city over 18 years, applied to the advisory clinic of endocrinologyprofile, it was characterized the frequency of their normal weight, overweight and obesity based onsexual characteristics and the nature of endocrine pathology. It was revealed that 49 % of men and66 % of women with type 2 diabetes, 50 % of men and 82 % of women with hypothalamic-pituitarydysfunction, 8 % of men and 35 % of women with thyroid disease, had obesity in varying degrees ofseverity. It was concluded the need for further research in the direction of objective evaluation ofthe degree of risk of cardiovascular disease and other debilitating pathologies development associatedwith excess body weight, depending on the sex, body weight, the nature of endocrine pathology, aswell as to explore possible pathogenic factors contributing to the accumulation of excess fat tissue inpatients with various endocrine pathologies.
