The article presents data on the clinical manifestations of primary obesity in young women depending on the period of life, when the manifestation of the disease was started and depending on its duration. It was found that overweight is not perceived as a pathological condition by almost half of young obese women visiting the clinic with menstrual disorders. In 71.7 % of obese women there is an increased appetite, which may be due to the formation of pathological eating behavior in childhood. 97 % of patients have excess body fat (according to the data of objective survey). However, about half of them do not consider themselves sick and do not consider obesity a significant factor affecting health
