A comprehensive overview of the word formation of the North Frisian dialects is a desideratum of Frisian linguistics. In this article we provide a brief survey of the most important compositional and derivational patterns in Fering-Öömrang, the North Frisian dialect of Feer/Föhr and Oomram/Amrum.
