In the article analyses one of the reasons leading to a decrease in the level of employment of prisoners for deprivation of liberty, associated with their transfer to strict conditions of serving a sentence, and the inability to take off work due to the lack of separate premises equipped with jobs in correctional institutions. It is explained that prisoners transferred to strict conditions of serving a sentence must work separately from other prisoners, which is enshrined in the current rules of internal regulations of correctional institutions, but is not reflected in the Penal Enforcement Code of the Russian Federation. To remedy the situation, it is proposed to introduce into the Penal Enforcement Code of the Russian Federation a norm providing for the work of prisoners transferred to strict conditions of serving a sentence, separate from other prisoners, and a provision allowing the transfer of working prisoners to strict conditions of serving a sentence only if there are separate working premises in correctional institutions.
