Character is a fundamental thing in the person that must be formed early on. This study aims to explain the concept of Jumat Berkah school culture and character that can be formed through Jumat Berkah school culture. The Jumat Berkah school culture contains values that can be used as a means to shape the character of student. This research uses descriptive methods. The data were obtained through interviews with the principal, teachers dan student at SMP Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Selatan. Data analysis techniques used triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate that the Jumat Berkah school culture contains religious values, nationalism, creativity and cooperation, which could be internalized to students as an effort to shape and improve character. The character formed through the Jumat Berkah school culture is tough character, clean and healthy, dicipline, environmental care, cooperative, responsible, creative and helping.
