To commercialize the application of gas‐filled membrane absorption (GFMA) in the recovery of cyanide from wastewater, the minimization of desired membrane area, membrane fouling, and other aspects were explored. The influences of operation parameters on the mass transfer coefficient is the focus of this study, which includes temperature, velocity, pH, and concentration. The concept of GFMA, the mass transfer resistance, the mass transfer equation, and other theoretical aspects are also introduced briefly. Experimental results show that the GFMA has good prospects in the commercialization of cyanide recovery.
