A total of 52 papers published in 2013 were reviewed ranging from detailed descriptions of analytical methods, to fate and occurrence studies, to ecological effects and sampling teclmiques for a wide variety of emerging contaminants likely to occur in agricultural environments. New method and studies on veterinary phannaceuticals, steroids, antibiotic resistance gene in agricultural environmnents continue to expand our these compounds. This review is divided into the following knowledge base on the occurrence and potential impact of sections: Introduction, Analytical Methods for Emerging Contaminant, Use of Passive amplers, Occurrence and Fate of Steroid Honnones, Antimicrobials and Antibiotic Resistance Genes, Occurrence and Fate of Pharrnaceuticals.
