The article presents a comprehensive review of research advancing in 2011 on nonpoint source pollution (NPS). Progresses on modeling and estimation of NPS pollution, impacts of climate and land tenure changes on pollutants loads, and NPS pollution management are reviewed. In addition, major nonpoint pollutants are also summarized.
