This proposal presents the PUB In project, developed by the University of Minho (UM) in collaboration with the National Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT/FCCN). PUB In emerged to improve the current state of scientific publication, characterized by vertical management in terms of the provision of editorial services (scientific journals), insufficient interoperability among themselves and with other editorial management platforms, obsolescence of platforms in use and skills deficit editorial management. PUB In is an integrated platform to support scientific publication nationwide to simplify and modernize the management of the editorial life cycle of scientific journals with benefits for all participants. It also intends to simplify the management process of these journals in the various magazine directories in order to make coherent and maximize the presence of Portuguese scientific journals on the Internet and in specialized indexes.
