Bleeding after surgery for acute aortic dissection in patients who receive antithrombotic therapy for incorrect diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome is a serious challenge for the surgical team. In this setting, additional control of bleeding may be achieved by using a modified Cabrol shunt. In this report we present our experience in acute Type A aortic dissection surgery.
