KONTRIBUSI UPACARA ADAT MENDIRIKAN DAN PINDAH RUMAH TERHADAP NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

There are so many kinds of traditional ceremony among Pontianak Malay community performed along their life cycle. All the traditional ceremonies need a specific properties according to the kinds of the ceremony performed by the performer. Each of the property as well as the steps of the ceremony had a specific symbol denoted to specific meaning. One of the traditional ceremony commonly performed by the community of Pontianak Malay is traditional ceremony of building and moving house that had so deep educational values. *** Ragam upacara adat Melayu Pontianak yang dilaksanakan selama siklus kehidupan mereka, mulai dari lahir sampai meninggal dunia sangat banyak. Seluruh amalan upacara adat tersebut menggunakan properti tertentu dengan tata upacara (prosesi) tersendiri yang dilakukan secara baik oleh pelakunya. Baik pada properti yang digunakan maupun rangkaian prosesi yang dilakukan masing-masing menjadi simbol-simbol tertentu yang sesungguhnya memiliki pesan-pesan moral, khususnya nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. Salah satunya adalah upacara adat mendirikan dan pindah rumah baru.
