The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the application of pau d’alhohydrolate in millet seeds (Pennisetumglaucum). The experiment was developed in laboratory, adopting a completely randomized desing with 5 doses of hydrolate (0; 5; 10; 15 and 20 ml 100 kg-1) and 4 repetitions. The variables analyzed were: emergence speed, germination, first count, root length, shoot length and seedling dry matter mass. The data were submitted to variation analysis and regression study. It was found that hydrolation application via seed has an effect on germination, root length and dry matter mass, with no significant difference for other variables.
