The article reveals the modern power trends in international relations. Based on the results of the analysis, the tendencies of the use of “hard”, “soft”, “smart”, and “diffuse” power in the international arena are highlighted. The conceptual content and features of the use of power in each of the indicated tendencies are revealed.
