Xanthogranulomatouspyelonephritis (PXG) is a rare, severe, subacute or chronic suppurative processcharacterized by the destruction and replacement of renalparenchyma by granulomatous tissue. Its occurrence in achronicdialysis patient is a rare and poorlydescribed complication. We report herea case of xanthogranulomatouspyelonephritis in a chronichemodialysis patient, emphasizing diagnostic pitfalls and therapeutic management.
