Summary Subglottic stenosis is characterised by narrowing of the airway at the level of the inferior edge of the cricoid cartilage. The pathology is either congenital or acquired, with the latter being most commonly due to internal iatrogenic laryngeal trauma. Airway management in subglottic stenosis is challenging, representing a difficult airway scenario. In this report we describe the management of a known difficult airway and outline the haemodynamic monitoring used in a case of subglottic stenosis.
